Call For Applications : Board of Directors

The District of Mackenzie is seeking applications from community members interested in serving on the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forests (MLMCF) Board of Directors.

The MLMCF Board plays a vital role in overseeing the sustainable management of our community forest, supporting local economic development, and ensuring responsible stewardship of community resources. Two Board positions are open for appointment in June 2026.

Applications are now open from qualified members of the public.

Applications may be submitted online or by hard copy. Paper applications require a signature; online applications include a declaration checkbox.

SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:

  • Operating a successful commercial enterprise
  • Senior operational or consulting experience in forestry or forest products
  • Professional background in law, accounting, or finance
  • Leadership experience in community organizations within the District of Mackenzie
  • Experience with forestry‑related environmental or ecological issues
  • Management experience in a community forest operation
  • Resident of McLeod Lake or Mackenzie an asset
